International Languages Services, Inc. is looking for talented linguists for the following positions:
Position title: Interpreters
Type: Court, Consecutive, Simultaneous, and Sign Language.
Languages: All languages, especially American Sign Language, Albanian, Arabic, Dari, Chinese (and dialects including Mandarin Cantonese, and Foochow), Croatian, Creole, English, Hebrew, Jamaican Patois, Japanese, Pashto, Serbian, Spanish, Turkish, Urdu, Vietnamese.
Category: Freelance on an as-needed basis, based on client requirements.
Hours: Generally 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours per day.
Rate of pay: Hourly, or on a half-day or full-day basis, based on the assignment.
Job location: New York City metropolitan area and other cities nationwide.
Minimum qualifications: Native ability in A and B languages, interpreter training or demonstrated experience.
Job description: Provide professional interpretation services in the court, medical centers, business, seminar, and/or conference settings, either alone or as part of a team.

Position title: Translators

Job location: Work from your location, client site, our offices, and other locations in the New York City metropolitan area and other cities nationwide.
Minimum qualifications: Native ability in source and target languages. BA or BS in foreign language or other relevant field. Demonstrated experience as a professional
translator. Ability to use common word processing software. Computer skills, email, and file management capabilities required.
